What to Expect
1. Consultation
Your session begins with a friendly, open conversation where we discuss your intentions and needs. This is your time to share any specific areas of tension and concerns, your overall wellness and goals, or simply what you’re hoping to experience.
2. Preparation
You’ll be guided to a warm, tranquil space where your comfort is my highest priority. Calming music and warm oils help set the stage for your relaxation. Before we begin, I’ll request that you complete a session form and sign it with me as I explain the process and ensure you feel completely at ease. This will include your desires for the session, including setting your intentions, draping, pressure, and possible triggers or concerns of any kind. You will then enter the treatment room and prepare for the massage and become comfortable face down on the table, under a sheet.
3. Treatment
I will begin by offering a prayer of intention and deep breathing activity. To introduce my hands to your body, I will enter the body space slowly and energetically, followed by strokes over the whole body. This massage unfolds with a flowing, full-body experience that integrates physical, mental, and emotional care. The strokes are long, continuous, and intuitive, designed to evoke a sense of being deeply nurtured. Several body areas may be accessed at the same time, resulting in a deep relaxation of the mind and body. The flow and rhythm will often change—sometimes slow and gentle, other times more dynamic—with pauses in between, always in response to your unique energies and comfort, similar to the ebb and flows of ocean waves.
The rhythmic, flowing strokes of this massage will stimulate circulation and encourage movement of blood and lymph throughout the body. The long, sweeping motions help oxygenate tissues by enhancing blood flow, while gentle pressure supports lymphatic drainage, which is essential for removing metabolic waste and toxins. These techniques, with background music in the 432Hz realm, also promote relaxation of the nervous system, which can improve the body's natural detoxification processes. As tension releases, the smooth, continuous movements create a sense of energetic balance, aiding in the holistic renewal of both the body and mind.
Throughout the session, I prioritize your well-being, encouraging you to share any adjustments or feedback so the experience remains fully aligned with your needs.
During treatment, your genitals will always be covered with a sheet or towel, and female breasts will remain covered. However, with permission, the sternum and some of its muscles may be included in the treatment.
4. Closure
As the session comes to an end, we take time for gentle grounding and integration, allowing your body and mind to absorb the benefits of the massage. You’ll have space to relax, reflect, and slowly transition back into your day with a sense of renewal and peace. We will also take an opportunity to share each other's experiences, if you are comfortable doing so.

Massage therapy has been extensively studied for its diverse effects on human health, demonstrating benefits across various physical and psychological conditions. Research indicates that massage can alleviate pain associated with musculoskeletal injuries, reduce stress and anxiety, and improve mood disorders such as depression. Additionally, it has been shown to lower blood pressure and heart rate, contributing to overall cardiovascular health. Massage therapy has also been beneficial for specific populations, including prenatal women, preterm infants, individuals with autism, and those managing chronic conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, hypertension, asthma, multiple sclerosis, HIV, breast cancer, Parkinson's disease, and dementia.
Among the various massage modalities, Lomi Lomi and Esalen massage have garnered attention for their unique approaches and therapeutic benefits. Lomi Lomi, a traditional Hawaiian massage, utilizes long, flowing strokes to enhance circulation, promote relaxation, and address both physical and emotional well-being. Studies suggest that Lomi Lomi may reduce stress, alleviate anxiety and depression, and improve sleep quality.
Esalen massage, developed at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California, combines long strokes, gentle rocking, and deep tissue techniques to create a deeply relaxing experience. This modality emphasizes the integration of body, mind, and spirit, aiming to foster a sense of serenity and promote self-healing. While specific research on Esalen massage is limited, its holistic approach aligns with general findings on the benefits of massage therapy.
In summary, both Lomi Lomi and Esalen massage offer unique therapeutic benefits that contribute to positive effects on human health.
